At FELIX GLUER, we believe that for every business involving gluing operations there should be a dedicated solution, made to meet unique challenges offered by distinct product lines and glued substrates. Whether you are working with luxury packaging, furniture elements, or custom printed POS materials, each production type offers issues of its own kind – from different gluing temperature to substrate specifics. Then, we also have to consider the scale of business, the production volume and existing workflows... the number of factors can be overwhelming at first.
This is where the power of automation comes into play.
Glue plotter configuration
At the core of our solution lies a glue plotter machine – worktable-based and controlled by a computer, it allows for precise application of glue paths on elements placed on the worktable. Each of the six different model types serves a particular role for a gluing department. Are you gluing small, printed elements or specialty packaging? FELIX GLUER : Light, with its smaller, silicone-coated table and a set of positioning pins, may be a choice for you. Working with large sheets of material? In that case, the Double model with its huge 2x3m table and additional roll sets for material placement would be much more adequate.
For many companies the production space needed to implement the CNC machine is quite an important factor. For that reason, we have differentiated available sizes for the most popular models, allowing you to flexibly adapt to resources at hand.
Setting up gluing systems
Choosing the right systems for your production is probably one of the most critical aspects of the whole process. Depending on the adhesive you use and substrates you glue, there are hundreds of possible combinations of FELIX GLUER gluing systems.
FG plotters provide support for both hot melt and cold gluing, therefore the configuration process should involve setting up glue heads for both adhesive types. As each glue head may consist of different gluing modules (from one to three, depending on a glue head type), you can design a perfect combination fitting your production. Are you thinking about mixing glue lines with microdots in the same pattern? Or maybe glue lines with spray for those complex foam projects? Combinations are really limitless, especially if you consider adding additional nozzles (over 60 to choose from) into the mix.
Thanks to our cooperation with Valco Melton, we provide you with the most reliable and high performing assortment of melters and pump units that complement our dedicated glue head systems. More detailed information can be found on a related page.
